And while we’re proud to provide that for our customers, the truth is… Yard Logs started because of something much bigger for our family.
I didn’t start Yard Logs just because I wanted to own a business.
I started it because I wanted something different for my family.
Like a lot of people, I found myself thinking about how quickly time moves. I wanted to build something meaningful — something I could be proud of — while also creating a life where I could actually be present at home.
My goal is simple:
I want my wife to be able to stay home and raise our son.
I want to be there for my kids — not just provide for them.
And I want to be in a position to help my older kids when they need it.
I’m incredibly thankful for my beautiful wife, Kit, who has been nothing but supportive while we work to balance family, life, and growing this business together. I truly wouldn’t be able to do this without her.
For us, Yard Logs isn’t just about cleaning yards.
It’s about building a life where family comes first.
Where we’re present for the moments that matter.
Where we’re building something together instead of constantly feeling pulled away from home.
At the same time, one of the unexpected blessings of starting Yard Logs has been becoming part of the community.
We’ve had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful dog owners throughout Central Indiana, and we genuinely enjoy building relationships with the people and neighborhoods we serve.
As Yard Logs continues to grow, we hope to continue finding ways to give back — whether that’s supporting local organizations, partnering with other small businesses, or simply being a positive and familiar presence in the community.
